RACE RULES

1. The event is held under the rules of ASA and CGA, and any regulations of the race. 
2. All participants do so at their own risk. They acknowledge by entering the event that, they are medically fit to do so. 
3. Licensed athletes must belong to a club affiliated to ASA, wear club colors, and wear their 2025 license number on the front and back of their vest and the issued race number worn in front of the vest without covering the sponsor's name. 
4. Unlicensed athletes must buy a temporary license at registration and wear plain clothing with the purchased temporary license on the back of the vests, and race number in front.
5. Athletes competing for category prices Must wear visible age tags. 
6. Licensed athletes not wearing club colors will be disqualified should they win the race or qualify for the prizes below. 
7. Medals will be handed out to all participants. 
8. Cut-off time 10h00 am.
9. Prize giving will be done at 10h30 am.
10. The minimum age for 5km is 7 years and 14 years for 10km.
11. NO SECONDING ALLOWED.
12. Proof of age for prize winners is required and must be presented to the chief referee. 
13. Only those who have completed all the information required in the race entry/number are eligible for the price.
14. No blades, cyclists or mechanically operated devices will be allowed in the race. Only athletes with impairments (wheelchair, blind or deaf) may register and notify the race organizer.
15. Pram, wheelchairs and disabled-bodied athletes will be allowed only on the 5km route. Special permission must be requested from race organizers. All such participants must start at the back of the field.
16. No animals/pets are allowed to participate.
17. All instructions from traffic officers, marshals and race officials must be obeyed at all times.
18. The entry fee is NON-REFUNDABLE. In the event the race has to be postponed/canceled for reasons beyond the race organizers' control, the entry fee will be retained for the next date or race.
19. The race committee reserves the right to accept or reject any entry.
20. Water point/hydration stations will be available approximately every 2.5 km on the route.
21. No earphones - contravention of World Athletics rule 144.2b may lead to disqualification.
22. Club gazebos are allowed. No coal braai stands will be allowed.
23. Our event photography partner is SmacPix and entry information will be shared with the race photographers for them to alert you when your race pictures are available. Entrants agree that photographs taken by the official race photographer on event day can be used for promotional purposes by the event and/or the event sponsors and other independent photographers.
